Fusion Expresions - Ridez - '83 S-15
This GMC is mildly customized. The truck was tan off the showroom, but, when Greg came into ownership, it had been repainted to a high-gloss black. However, the interior and certain parts that weren't painted show the old color all too well. It sports some 15" Weld Racing Draglites on low-profile rubber, giving it a lowered look without any change in the very much stock suspension. Also, carbon-fiber (looking) taillights were put in the rear for an upgraded look from the plain, old, worn-out taillights that had came stock in it. Also worth mentioning in the back end is the after-market chrome bumper which came with the truck when Greg got it. Its perfect for the times you need to haul a trailer, but want something that looks good when not needed. Moving toward the front end you have a generic (gmc logo-less) grille and chrome front-bumper. The headlights have been upgraded to silver star's and the stock, amber turn signals have been replaced with clear ones, both corner and bumper. Inside the bed is a drop-in bed liner (over the rail) and a black, diamond-plated, alloy toolbox. On the inside, the interior is still stock to a great extent. However, the sound system has been upgraded. While the 4x6's in the dash are still the generic OEM, a Pioneer DEH-14 head unit has been installed to allow the playing of CDs. Behind the seat is where all the real fun is though. There you'll find a pair of 3-way Pioneer 6x9's, and a 10" subwoofer powered by a Kenwood 800w 4-channel amp. All this is powered by the biggest engine you could get in a s-15 that year: a 2.8L V-6 with an automatic transmission.
UPDATE (11/25/08): Earlier in the month the truck was damaged when a deer went into the grille, damaging everything from the engine fan forward. The pics below show the extent of the damage and repair done thus far. Currently, the only thing needed to be done is paint on the hood and fender and replacement of the S-15 logo on the fender.
